Greetings, and welcome back to UISA! My name is Eric Crawford, and I will be the new Principal of UISA while Mrs. Pedroncelli is gone this year.

By way of introduction, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I began my teaching career while volunteering for the US Peace Corps in Botswana, South Africa. I have also taught agriculture for 21 years (19 years for MCOE and 2 years for Santa Cruz County Office of Education). For the past two years, I have served Ukiah Unified School District as the Career Technical Education Coordinator. I have 2 children who have gone through Ukiah’s schools, and am excited about this upcoming year!

There are a few dates of which I would like to make you aware. First, Back To School night will take place on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Please come, meet with our great staff, and see our great new landscaping which Ms. Pedroncelli has had installed.

Additionally, your teachers will be contacting you the week of August 13th to set up your students’ first appointment.

Also, please remember that each year students and parents need to sign a Master Agreement. Additionally, this year you will be asked to complete the Educational Benefits form. You will receive both during your child’s first meeting with their teachers. Please plan on attending your child’s first appointment to complete these important documents.  

Finally, I would like to ensure you that we will strive to maintain the policies and procedures as Mrs. Pedroncelli carried them out last year. Having said that, there may be a few changes based merely on the fact that both myself and Clarisa Barajas are new to our positions. I can promise you, however, that we will do everything within our power to make sure that your students are comfortable and safe here at UISA and that their education will come first!

My office hours will be Mondays 11-1, Tuesday and Wednesday 10-2, and by appointment.
